Neutral hues are becoming more and more popular and none more so than beige. With its ability to contrast with more bright and colourful items of furniture, it may not be ideal for individual decor pieces but excellent for creating a warm welcoming tone.

Here, Aaorta have used different shades of beige to create a beautifully finished bedroom that makes you feel at home immediately.

Beige but not boring

Sticking to beige doesn't mean that things have to be boring. Using a combination of tones can really add some shine to a room with the beige being the base colour that holds everything together. Aaorta have been clever with their combinations here, giving the walls bedspread and headboard different textures to mix things up and keep the beige interesting.

Avoid white

With so many furniture and decor pieces available in white as standard, it might be tempting to combine these with beige. While the colour choice seems like it should be an obvious match, the combination can end up looking off-white or just murky. Aaorta have avoided this completely opting instead for varying shades of beige.

Decor with a different touch

Another brilliant touch is using decor elements with different shapes, colours and textures to break up the big block of colour. The picture frames and hanging plants bring their own unique standout qualities for a perfect finish.

When using beige to decorate don't be afraid to pair it with more unexpected colors too. There are no hard rules saying beige has to be paired with other neutral colours and as you can see, beige can look really elegant next to pale blue as the image above shows us.
