Modern homes can be easily distinguished by the strong preference for simplistic and straight lines. On the other hand, traditional homes lean towards a heavier use of wood and extensive detailing. It is not impossible to create a home that combines both and the architects of DESIGNASM STUDIO, Bengaluru have managed to do just that. This home displays a wonderful charm that has both elements in abundance.

Lovely use of wood

This space which looks like a TV unit has been designed wonderful well. While dark wood is more commonly preferred, this colour of wood creates more warmth and is a lot more pleasing to the eye. The simple stripes presented to break up the heaviness of the design is a wonderful idea to keep the look simple yet classy. The passageway has been adorned with strips of wood creating continuity of design.

Exceptional use of space

This is a great way to use one side of the room. The soft colour of laminate used here gives the room a very modern and delicate touch. The space has been divided to create a study desk within this space. Using the window to do this is clever as the natural light is abundant. The inclusion of an attic on the same lines is ideal as this provides additional storage.

Simple design

The light blue for this room is cool and chic. A simple long wardrobe in the corner is elegant. The extension of the wardrobe into a sleek and classy study desk is very modern and contemporary. Extra shelves and ledges can overwhelm the design however, a simple space exudes class and sophistication here.

 Wonderful choice of colour

The wardrobe is exceptional in design. The lack of space on the other side of the room has been compensated with the tall and sophisticated wardrobes. The light and simple choice of blinds is perfect in this room. The sole bright spot is the stool providing seating and colour to this room.

Exceptional kitchen

Using the kitchen space ideally is essential and with a perfect design, it is possible. The right combination of drawers and cabinets can make your kitchen supremely functional. Here, the lighter shade of wood is combined with the simple black granite to create the perfect contrasts. A sink in one corner and the cooktop at the other end makes sure you have everything you need in this space.

Pooja Space

Dedicating a small space for prayer is common in Indian homes and how you choose to do it a personal choice. Here a small wardrobe has been kept open for the same. The addition of two traditional brass lamps created the perfect aura around here.6 Ideas for your kitchen countertops.
