1. Kitchen tiles

Although the kitchen is one of the more common spaces for tiles, it's a good place to start thinking about how tiles can be used creatively to decorate the kitchen as well as protect the walls and make for easy cleaning. As you can see in the example pictured here, the irregularity of the tiles and the detailed pictures on just a few makes the kitchen more visually interesting. You can also opt for a mosaic of multi-coloured tiles if that's more of your style. The tip is basically to use a few different types of tiles. You can also experiment with combining different textures of kitchen tiles together. For more inspiration, check out our article titled modern tiles for a contemporary kitchen.

A great way to make space-efficient storage available in your home is to use the space under the stairs. And since you're going to be making a custom-made cabinet anyway, you can partly make it out of tiles so that the cabinet is decorative as well as useful.

3. Wall tiles for the entrance

The entrance of a home is one of those places that often gets very dusty. This is why it's a great place for wall tiles as the tiles will protect the walls from getting dusty and they can easily be cleaned to give your entrance the bright and shiny appeal it deserves. Another great idea is to get custom-made tiles with pictures of deities or various traditional patterns can also be bought easily to be used for the pooja unit.

5. Create a niche space with wall tiles
